Pressurized manifold heat pipe solar collector
Pressurized manifold heat pipe solar collector is a slightly more recently developed technology, introduced to the market in the 1970's. There are several varieties of solar evacuated tubes, however the most commonly used type employs the use of a copper heat pipe surrounded by a glass vacuum tube that is under a vacuum. The glass solar tube actually consists of two walls of glass. In between the two walls, all the air is removed, resulting in a vacuum in the same manner as a clear Thermos bottle function. This vacuum is the best insulation one could ask for, and gives the solar evacuated tubes a much better heat retention than air space.
The copper heat pipe is also pressurized, allowing the heat transfer liquid (usually water) to boil very rapidly, at a very low temperature (usually between 75F and 80F). As the heat transfer liquid boils, it carries the collected heat to the top of the collector, where the heat is then collected by water or heat transfer liquid that flows around the top of the heat pipe, and then transferred to a storage tank or elsewhere in the solar thermal system.
Heat pipe manifold solar collector tube consists of solar evacuated tube , solar heat pipe and aluminum fin.
heat pipe solar collector specialty:
1. heat pipe pressurized solar collector heating efficiency is very higher than Flat panel solar collector.
2. Quick operation under pressure.
3. Strong freezing resistance,no water inside solar evacuated tubes.
4. Easy installation, convenient maintenance.
5. Completely combined with building, install on wall, roof or ground etc
